DATA PROTECTION

We take data protection seriously

Protecting your privacy when processing personal data is an important concern for us. When you visit our website, our web servers store the IP of your Internet service provider, the website from which you visit us, the websites that you visit and the date and duration of the visit. This information is absolutely necessary for the technical transmission of the websites and secure server operation. There is no personalized evaluation of this data.

If you send us data via the contact form, this data will be stored on our servers as part of the data backup. We will only use your data to process your request. Your data will be treated confidentially. It will not be passed on to third parties.

Automatically saved data

Server log files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • Date and time of the request

  • Name of the requested file

  • Page from which the file was requested

  • Access status (file transferred, file not found, etc.)

  • Web browser used and operating system used

  • Complete IP address of the requesting computer

  • amount of data transferred

This data will not be merged with other data sources. Processing is carried out in accordance with Article 6 Paragraph 1 Letter f of the GDPR based on our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of our website.

For reasons of technical security, in particular to prevent attempts to attack our web server, we store this data for a short time. It is not possible for us to draw conclusions about individual people based on this data. After seven days at the latest, the data is anonymized by shortening the IP address at domain level, so that it is no longer possible to establish a connection to the individual user. The data is also processed in anonymized form for statistical purposes; A comparison with other data sets or a transfer to third parties, even in extracts, does not take place.

Cookies

When you visit our website we may store information on your computer in the form of cookies. Cookies are small files that are transferred from an Internet server to your browser and stored on its hard drive. Only the Internet Protocol address is stored - no personal data. This information, which is stored in the cookies, allows us to automatically recognize you the next time you visit our website, making it easier for you to use it. The legal basis for the use of cookies is the legitimate interest in accordance with Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

Of course, you can also visit our website without accepting cookies. If you do not want your computer to be recognized the next time you visit, you can also refuse the use of cookies by changing the settings in your browser to “reject cookies”. You can find the respective procedure in the operating instructions of your respective browser. However, if you refuse the use of cookies, there may be restrictions on the use of some areas of our website.

Contact forms and contact service

If you contact us via one of our online contact forms, you only need to enter the personal data that is really necessary (telephone number is not mandatory).  We process your data in this context in order to answer your inquiry or to refer you to a heating engineer. Your data will be deleted after answering, unless this results in a business relationship between us.

We provide you with a service email address and telephone number to answer your questions or to refer you to a heating engineer. These two contact options lead to our outsourced call center, which is operated by a service provider with whom we have an order processing agreement in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.

Use of Google Analytics with anonymization function

On our site we use Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter “Google”. Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and thereby enable your use of the website to be analyzed.

The information generated by these cookies, such as the time, location and frequency of your website visits, including your IP address, is transmitted to Google in the USA and stored there.

We use Google Analytics with the addition “_gat._anonymizeIp” on our website. In this case, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area and thereby anonymized.

Google will use this information to evaluate your use of our site, to compile reports on website activity for us and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties if required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google.

According to its own statements, Google will under no circumstances associate your IP address with other Google data. You can prevent the installation of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; However, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to fully use all of the functions of our website.

Using YouTube in extended data protection mode

We use the provider YouTube to integrate videos. The videos were embedded in extended data protection mode. Like most websites, YouTube also uses cookies to collect information about visitors to its website. YouTube uses these, among other things, to collect video statistics, to prevent fraud and to improve user-friendliness. This also leads to a connection to the Google DoubleClick network. Starting the video could trigger further data processing operations.

Security

We have taken technical and administrative security measures to protect your personal data against loss, destruction, manipulation and unauthorized access. All of our employees and service providers who work for us are obliged to comply with applicable data protection laws.

Whenever we collect and process personal data, it is encrypted before it is transmitted. This means that your data cannot be misused by third parties. Our security precautions are subject to a constant improvement process and our data protection declarations are constantly revised. Please make sure you have the most current version.
